Choctaw Nation Pharmacy Refill Center

Details

The Choctaw Nation Pharmacy Refill Center located in Poteau, OKlahoma was a 16,000 sq. ft. facility built from the ground up. It was a structure connected to and built between two existing Choctaw Clinics.

The new structure houses a five million dollar robotic system that can fill 14,000 individual prescriptions per day for the Choctaw Nation members. This project included serious relocation of existing stormwater controls and underground piping, an electrical transformer that supplies power to the existing facilities and a large generator that is backup power to the clinics.

This infrastructure relocation work all had to be done prior to the building being constructed since these were in the same location as the new build site. The new building consists of a waiting area, three reception desks with security shutters, offices, call center, restrooms both for the public and employees, a large warehouse prescription filling ecenter with dry storage, freezer and cooler storage and a new loading dock for deliveries.

This construction project was very challenging yet a very satisfying project to construct given the location and tie into the existing structures and the re-location of the infrastructures in order to make this project a success.
